Older Adult Advisory
Group
Thanks to a grant from the New Horizons for Seniors Program, Waterloo
Public Library launched an Older Adult Advisory Group—a team of
dedicated community advocates working to ensure library services
re昀氀ect an age-friendly perspective.
Supported by staff facilitators, the group provides valuable input on
access, collections, programming, and library spaces. They are also
actively shaping outreach strategies to better connect with older adults
who may not yet use the library, helping to make WPL more inclusive
and welcoming for all.
